I am very excited at what is to come for Domainer’s Magazine!  The blogs will serve as a way for our visitors to have some insight as to who makes up Domainer’s Magazine and also benefit from some of our special skills and talents that have made us successful over the years.  We also hope to be able to bring you news that we are made aware in a timely manner.

Some of you may know me already from a face to face meeting at a conference, but for those of you who don’t, allow me to fill you in on what makes me tick.  I have a B.S. Degree in Business with a Concentration in Marketing and had a special interest in Psychology during my undergraduate studies.  Having grown up the youngest child of an educator, I always saw the value in education and have taken countless courses and obtained numerous certifications over the years.  I believe that every class we take can have a positive effect not only in the area that we are studying, but all areas of our lives.  In my hunger for knowledge, one of the certifications that I received was for Reiki Master/Teacher.  Reiki has changed me personally and is part of who I am in all facets of my life.  I follow the 5 Principles in everything I do with pride.

They are:

Just for today, I will not worry.

Just for today, I will not anger.

Just for today, I will do my work honestly.

Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings.

Just for today, I will be kind to my neighbor and every living thing.

Living this way has allowed me deeper relationships with those around me and allowed me to see the “gift” in all that I receive even when it may not be what I am asking for.

I follow the “Law of Attraction” and try to live my life in a positive way.  I coach individuals on using the Law of Attraction in their everyday lives and love seeing the benefits of individuals really understanding how to use it.

Here at Domainer’s Magazine, I am involved with advertising sales, editing the print magazine and final approval and assisting in the development of the webpage.  When I am not working for the magazine, I enjoy working out, running, biking, yoga, and belly dancing.  I also have my own side business called FreshLookonLife.com that allows me to use some of the certifications that I earned over the years helping others.  I am actively involved in raising money for many charities including MS, the Humane Society, local food pantries, DASI, children with cancer, my local church and the American Red Cross.    I believe Karma is a force among all of us and that you will always reap what you sew.    When things are good, I think it is important to “give back”.  When things don’t feel good, helping others always let’s me see how fortunate I am.    I hope you will stop by and visit my blog from time to time to see what is new.  I promise to try to give you a positive spin on the world we are living in!  Smile

My husband Jerry and I had the pleasure of speaking with Lori Anne Wardi, Director of Marketing, and Juan Diego Calle, CEO of .CO Internet. It appears there are exciting new opportunities facing the domaining community. Many of us have attended conferences and read pointers for the industry stressing the importance of development only to hear frustration from individuals who felt they entered the industry just a little too late to get a “gem” in the form of a generic domain.

“.CO Internet S.A.S. (www.COinternet.co), a new company formed by Arcelandia S.A., a wholly-owned Columbian company, and the U.S. company Neustar, Inc., launched the .CO domain name extension. .CO offers enterprises and individuals a global, recognizable, and credible option in branding their Internet presence,” according to a recent press release. The organization is now accepting applications for .CO domains from eligible trademark holders through their “global Sunrise period” and will continue to accept them until June 10, 2010.
