Fabulous is happy to announce some new features that will soon be available to its customers.

Additional Account Security

Today, security on the Internet is paramount. Fabulous has always strived to be leading edge when it comes to protecting domain assets, and as part of their ongoing efforts, they are implementing an additional level of account security with the Fabulous Security Key.

The Fabulous Security Key is an innovative USB device that provides additional levels of security to sensitive areas of your account. Sections of customer accounts that can be protected by the Fabulous Security Key include:

  • Sales
  • Transfers
  • Name Servers
  • Pushes

With one touch, it sends a unique one time pass code, ensuring that these actions are only performed by the authorized holder of the Fabulous Security Key. The Fabulous Security Key is an additional authentication mechanism that is used in conjunction with the customer’s account password.

Whois Privacy

By popular demand, Fabulous is also offering Whois Privacy Services. Rather than a customer’s private information being displayed anytime someone does a whois lookup, domains using our Whois Privacy Service will return unique details to protect their personal information.

Every domain using our Whois Privacy Service will be given a unique identifier and all email and phone messages related to your domains will be automatically redirected to the domain owner. What's the cost to use Whois Privacy? Nothing! Clients can protect all their domains at no additional cost.*

The Fabulous Security Key and Whois Privacy Service will be available as of July 1, 2009. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to visit Fabulous.com to find out more.

* A US$25 (plus postage/courier costs) handling fee will be charged for any physical/manual labor required. A typical example would be forwarding a domain dispute we receive to our GPO box.

SeeqPod.com executives turn to Sedo’s leading brokerage services for domain sale

Cambridge, Mass., June 17, 2009 – Sedo, the leading domain marketplace, today announced that it now has the exclusive rights to broker the domain name, SeeqPod.com, a popular playable search engine. The global entertainment portal offers over twelve million, high quality search results that are indexed from around the web in real time. SeeqPod had a user base of nearly one million members, who visited the site to either listen to new music instantly, or access their stored, personal playlists.

“SeeqPod.com offers a strong flow of traffic, which can be leveraged into another business idea, especially ones involving music, “said Jeremiah Johnston, COO of Sedo.com. “The domain name is already receiving a lot of initial interest, with many prospective investors realizing the monetization and development opportunities that SeeqPod.com, as a brand, will innately provide to its future owner.”

Despite recessionary setbacks affecting many entertainment venues, the digital music industry continues to see steady growth. According to Ovum's Digital music forecast 2009-2014, the global digital music market is expected to top $25 billion by 2014. Several big businesses are already investing in the online music industry, including Xbox 360 offering Zune and Last.fm, Sony uniting with eMusic and Apple, which continues to report steady growth with iTunes.

As an existing playable search engine, SeeqPod.com offers buyers the chance to profit from the increasing interest in the digital music industry. By leveraging its existing web traffic, the new owner of SeeqPod.com can build off the site’s already solid foundation to form a new and improved identity for the brand.

“We chose to work with Sedo, as we feel confident that their brokerage services will result in a high quality acquisition of the domain,” said Kasian Franks, Former CEO of SeeqPod.
