Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday, May 3rd, 2021

People are all so different in so many ways but they tend to have common traits for shopping. From what they buy to how they move around a store. They buy based on location and emotion. I have a large retail base that comes in to the store every day and I play games to see how the crowds will react to certain things. One thing I do is park my car a certain way in the lot. We have marked parking on half of it and an open lot in the other. If I park my car at an angle the entire lot will be at an angle all day. If I don’t they will park straight in. I set the parking lot every day with however I want everyone to park.

It’s the same with lines. I have a problem with lines forming at our outdoor register and no matter how many signs I put up I can’t get people to cue up at the right area. But putting out birdbaths spaced evenly in a line, it tends to have people follow that line and keep the line in that area. No signs just space. Obstacles and visuals work better than signs saying exactly what you want them to do.

The other retail things I do have been done forever in stores. Signs that say NOW $39.95. It actually was $37.95 but the Now makes it sound cheaper. Wall-Mart has been doing that forever. I also set up product in order I want them to buy. Stuff they are coming in for goes low on the shelves, stuff I want them to buy at eye level. Stuff they want in the back of the store, stuff I want them to buy located on the way to the popular sought items and by the cash register.

Another game I learned from a pumpkin patch. They would grow pumpkins and let people go get them straight from the patch. They would cut them and leave them there. Every night they would put new pumpkins in their place, filling the gaps, and people would think they are buying the pumpkins that grew there. They would be replaced 30 or more times. We do that with our flowers. We put out smaller quantities in large areas to make them look like they are selling out. But replenish them constantly. It gives 10 different customers the “so lucky, I got the last 3” feeling. 😊

Quote of the Day: “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” – Zig Zaglar

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
