Should ICANN Permanently Rescue Failed New gTLDs?

Yesterday, I’ve put three options on the table so as to try a bit of a collective brainstorming experiment. Today, I’d like to analyze the first option in more detail, which is having ICANN bail out the failed extensions. There already is a mechanism in place for scenarios which involve failed extensions but it’s not an [...]

Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday March 30th

Maybe I don’t get enough inquiries to understand.  Maybe I’m used to working with hundreds of people each day in retail.   But I just don’t get annoyed with the domain inquiries with all the crazy low offers and stories.  I own the name so I don’t lose anything but 5 seconds to read an email.  And with every 5 second read I have the slight chance there may be a real buyer.   Again, I don’t have thousands of names.  I do get 5 to 10 inquiries a day.  Most are foreign language lowball emails.  Maybe others get 100…or a 1000.   I do think that having to answer thousands of gardening questions every day and working with a lot of crazy personalities has taken the edge off what bothers me and doesn’t when it comes to questions and my time.  There are too many things going on in the day to worry about some person from Sri Lanka that offers me $50 for  I respond with a copy and past price and response and then I’m done.   If it’s anything other than a counter or further questions I read it and trash it.   Ironically just as I typed this out I got an offer for $99 for and a no priced inquiry for    I don’t like the no offer thing at Uniregistry.   It’s the reason I’m moving my entire portfolio back over to Sedo but that’s for another story.   I admit that not vetting out a real offer bothers me but until I switch I just quickly send a price and wait.  It’s just not that hard and I’m pretty sure the life goal of the person on the other side is not to bother me and take my time. Here are today’s names.   Click for current price

Quote Of The Day:  ” Big shots are only little shots that keep shooting -Christopher Morley”

Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids    The nickname of Houston so a ton of things with the name.  Upgrade name  21 years old.    I’m guessing there will be pics on this site   20 years old.   This would have been low end of the price spectrum 5 years ago.  Now look at it   They don’t just give this card to anyone.  19 years old    We all have one.  I would guess the happy spot will be between $900 and $1200   Solar powered backpack comes to mind.  Portable power    Best use of dot co as I’ve seen   Jeff is either Tarzan or special needs and   the two low end LLLL.coms on the board today Bad Western. Great Chinese. Chinese win Over under $1500 Because you can get better credit by paying someone

I’m 25 according to my answers 16 years old. Gets some traffic. Even though its 5 letters I think it could still be a good acronym If there isn’t already a DJ Crush there should be Nice little brand for $12 A last time so a matter of time before it becomes a business name Brain as in your brain or the product has a brain Good if its weight. No bidders Cannabis name. I have several of the other color canna names Cute sounding brand. At $12 A lot of uses as a brand.  SEDO      Met reserve.    Good name for our industry   Has the dot asia train left the station?  Reserve met at $309

Namejet Auction    Interesting name.  Dot tv has been kind of a dud lately but this one is pretty unique so it should do well  CVCV ….kinda.  But in this case its as good or better than a CVCV IMO   I bid against the seller when he bought it.  Its a plant and a brand and had no idea it was worth this much.  No wonder he didn’t take my $2K offer   Only 2 bidders. A whole site dedicated to middle age women getting together with girlfriends taking a cruise.  Actually a pretty good market  Taxes for a LLC is different than a normal company.  Here’s your guide.  4 Bidders   I can see this on the side of their van.  The money is in the kitchen and bathroom   The Moses of Mesopotamia .  Also a village.  Only 1 bidder   Sounds like a company from 1998 that got bought out for 500 million  The AABB patterns used to be five figures.  We might find out new value  One of my favorite on the list. But not getting much love   Sounds like to going to get rid of something fast and hard  Here’s your chance to own an animal.  Singular is better of course
